On 9 December 2004 and 27 October 2005, the Company announced that the Securities Commission (“SC”) had approved the Rights Issue of Warrants and imposed, amongst others, the following condition:

“Bonia is required to increase its Bumiputera equity holdings by 5.52% (equivalent to 4,455,529 new Bonia Shares) of the enlarged issued and paid-up share capital of Bonia before 25 May 2007.”

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Bonia, Hwang-DBS Investment Bank Berhad (formerly known as Hwang-DBS Securities Berhad) wishes to announce that the Company had on even date submitted an application to the SC to dispense from complying with the abovementioned equity condition.
