The Board of Directors of Bonia Corporation Berhad ("Bonia" or "the Company") wishes to announce that ACTIVE WORLD PTE LTD, a wholly owned subsidiary company of Bonia had on 3 March 2009 incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary company in Singapore known as SCRL PTE LTD ("SCRL").
The intended principal activities of SCRL are wholesaling, retailing and marketing of fashionable footwear, carrywear and accessories. Its current issued and paid-up share capital is SGD1.00 comprising of 1 ordinary share of SGD1.00 each.
The incorporation of SCRL has no material effect on the earnings per share, net tangible assets per share, share capital and the substantial shareholdings of the Company for the financial year ending 30 June 2009.
None of the Directors and major shareholders or persons connected to the Directors or major shareholders of Bonia and its subsidiaries have any interest, direct or indirect, in the incorporation of SCRL.
