Bonia Corporation Berhad (“Bonia” or “Company”) wishes to inform that an application for deregistration of Kin Sheng International Trading Co Limited (“KSIT”) from the register of the Companies Registry, Hong Kong (“CRHK”), was submitted on 21 December 2017 and the confirmation of receipt of the said application issued by CRHK was received by the Company on 3 January 2018.

KSIT, a dormant entity, is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Kin Sheng Group Limited (“KSGL”), which in turn is a direct wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company. The original cost of investment of KSGL in KSIT is HKD10,000.00.

The deregistration of KSIT is part of Bonia’s continued initiative to eliminate unnecessary administrative costs in maintaining dormant subsidiaries. The deregistration is not expected to have any material effect on the earnings or net assets of the Bonia Group for the financial year ending 30 June 2018.

None of the Directors or major shareholders of the Company, or persons connected with them, has any interest, direct or indirect, in the deregistration of KSIT and no approval of shareholders is required.
