Bonia Corporation Berhad (“the Company”) wishes to announce that further to the application for voluntary deregistration made by Bonia (Shanghai) Commerce Limited (“BSCL”), the wholly owned sub-subsidiary of the Company, BSCL had on 3 September 2011 completed the deregistration procedures and deregistered with effect from 3 September 2011.

BSCL was incorporated in the People’s Republic of China on 23 May 2008 and its principal activities were that of retailing, marketing, promoting, designing, import and export of fashionable goods, apparels and accessories. BSCL had ceased operations since June 2010.

The deregistration of BSCL has no material effect on the earnings per share, net tangible assets per share, share capital and the substantial shareholdings of the Company for the financial year ending 30 June 2012.

None of the Directors and major shareholders or persons connected to the Directors or major shareholders of the Company and its subsidiaries has any interest, direct or indirect, in the said deregistration.
